Position Overview

Join our Child Nutrition Services team and help us make a difference in students’ lives every day! Team members prepare, cook, and serve nutritious meals, operate the cashier line, and keep accurate meal counts and records. This is hands-on, meaningful work that supports student health and learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and serve meals, salads, and side dishes
• Operate a computerized point-of-sale system and handle money transactions
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen and cafeteria
• Follow standardized recipes and portion guidelines
• Provide friendly customer service to students, staff, and families
• Assist with other duties as assigned by the cafeteria manager

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
• Basic math skills for meal counts and recordkeeping

Preferred Qualifications

• Food service and/or cashier experience
