WORK WEEK SCHEDULE

Monday-Friday (occasional evenings and weekends) Position is not eligible for hybrid telework workweek 

 

POSITION PURPOSE:

Manages information in a Computerized Asset Management System (CAMS) by auditing data, entering data, and compiling reports. Provides technical support staff on computer programs and applications in use.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAs);

  • Considerable knowledge of facility equipment and systems;

  • Considerable knowledge of database systems with the ability to analyze and organize data within large, complex databases;

  • Considerable knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Google Apps; Visio;

  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills;

  • Effective time management skills;

  • Ability to compile and analyze data within a computerized system that manages data;

  • Ability to complete complex tasks and minimize errors with attention to detail;

  • Ability to work independently and complete tasks in the absence of clear direction;

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form using a variety of communication techniques and tools to ensure the appropriate flow of information, collaborative efforts, and feedback;

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school system staff, external agencies and the public.

 

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent;

  • Two years of experience in facility maintenance, asset management, or related field.

 

CERTIFICATION AND LICENSE REQUIREMENTS

  • Must hold and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator’s license according to the State of NC requirements.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience using CAMS applications.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Manages information in a Computerized Asset Management System (CAMS) by auditing data, entering data and compiling reports.

  2. Assists with coordination of gathering new and changed data and updating that data in several databases.

  3. Ensures that accurate data is entered and maintained in CAMS.

  4. Provides feedback to the Administrator on issues and improvements to the system.

  5. Assists in the development and compilation of reports, as requested by administrators.

  6. Assists in the development of training for users of the CAMS System.

  7. Provides technical support and assistance to staff on computer programs and applications being used.

  8. Assists with the continued development and expansion of CAMS.

  9. Assists with reducing costs by ensuring projects stay on-track and within budget.

  10. Proofreads all documents and reports for accuracy and consistency.

  11. Performs other related duties, as assigned.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, scanners, and copiers. The position, at times, must be able to come into direct contact with school system staff and staff members of external funding agencies, and the community. Work is considered light work, requiring the exertion of up to 10 pounds of force. The work requires driving automotive equipment.
